Charles Alexander Carnegie, 11th Earl of Southesk is the son of Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk and Ethel Mary Elizabeth Bannerman.1 He was born on 23 September 1893 at Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 He married, firstly, Maud Alexandra Victoria Georgina Bertha Duff, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, daughter of Alexander William George Duff, 1st Duke of Fife and Louise Victoria Alexandra Dagmar Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom, on 12 November 1923 at London, England.1 He married, secondly, Evelyn Julia Williams-Freeman, daughter of Colonel Arthur Peere Williams-Freeman, on 16 May 1952 at Scone Palace, Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He died on 16 February 1992 at age 98 at Brechin, Angus, Scotland.
     He gained the title of 11th Earl of Southesk.1 He gained the title of Lord Carnegie of Kinnaird and Leuchards.1 He gained the title of Baron Balinhard of Farnell.1
