Aantekeningen - Friedrich Karl Eduard Erwin VI Fürst zu Leiningen is the son of Emich Eduard Karl V Fürst zu Leiningen and Feodore Viktoria Alberta Prinzessin zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg.1 He was born on 13 February 1898 at Strassburg, Kärnten, Austria.1 He married Mariya Kirillovna Romanov, Grand Duchess of Russia, daughter of Kirill Vladmirovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia and Victoria Melita Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of the United Kingdom, on 24 November 1924. He was also reported to have been married on 24 February 1925. He died on 2 August 1946 at age 48 at Saransk, Russia, being held captive in a Russian P.O.W. camp.1 He was also reported to have died on 2 August 1946 at Mordvinien, Russia.
He gained the title of 6th Fürst zu Leiningen in 1939.1
