Rt. Hon. Sir Angus James Robert Bruce Ogilvy was the son of Sir David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 7th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke.2 He was born on 14 September 1928 at London, England.3,4 He married Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel Windsor, Princess of Kent, daughter of George Edward Alexander Edmund Windsor, 1st Duke of Kent and Marina von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Greece and Denmark, on 24 April 1963 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.1 He died on 26 December 2004 at age 76 at Kingston Hospital, London, England, from cancer.5
He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.6 He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).6 He gained the rank of Captain in 1946 in the service of the Scots Guards.6 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1989.6 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1997.6 He lived in 1999 at Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park, Richmond, London, England.6 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Daily Telegraph.5
