She was born on 25 November 1876 at Palace of St. Antonio, Valetta, Malta.1 She married, firstly, Ernst Ludwig Karl Albert Wilhelm Großherzog von Hessen und bei Rhein, son of Ludwig IV Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Großherzog von Hessen und bei Rhein and Alice Maud Mary Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of the United Kingdom, on 19 April 1894 at Coburg, Bayern, Germany.1 She and Ernst Ludwig Karl Albert Wilhelm Großherzog von Hessen und bei Rhein were divorced on 21 December 1901.1 She married, secondly, Kirill Vladmirovich Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia, son of Vladimir Aleksandrovitch Romanov, Grand Duke of Russia and Marie Alexandrine Elisabeth Eleonore Herzogin von Mecklenburg-Schwerin, on 8 October 1905 at Tegernsee, Bayern, Germany.2 She died on 2 March 1936 at age 59 at Amorbach, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.1 She was buried at Coburg, Bayern.3 She gained the title of HRH Princess Victoria Melita of the United Kingdom.4 She gained the title of Prinzessin Victoria von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha.4 She gained the title of Herzogin von Sachsen.4 She gained the title of Princess Victoria of Edinburgh.3 Victoria Melita Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of the United Kingdom also went by the nick-name of Ducky.
