He was born on 17 December 1890.1 He married Marie Auguste Prinzessin von Anhalt-Dessau, daughter of Eduard Georg Wilhelm Maximilian Herzog von Anhalt-Dessau and Marie Agnes Luise Charlotte Prinzessin von Sachsen-Altenburg, on 11 March 1916.1 He died on 18 July 1920 at age 29 at Potsdam, Brandenburg, Germany, by committing suicide.1,2

He gained the title of Prinz von Preußen (styled as HRH Prince of Prussia).1
