Adolf Wilhelm Karl Prinz von Schaumburg-Lippe was the son of Adolf Georg Prinz von Schaumburg-Lippe and Hermine Prinzessin zu Waldeck und Pyrmont.1 He was born on 20 July 1850 at Bückeburg, Niedersachsen, Germany.1 He was also reported to have been born on 20 July 1859. He married Friederike Amalia Wilhelmine Viktoria Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of Friedrich III Wilhelm Nikolaus Karl von Hohenzollern Kaiser von Deuschland and Victoria Adelaide Mary Louisa Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom, on 19 November 1890.1 He died on 9 July 1916 at age 65 at Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfahlen, Germany.1

He gained the title of Prinz von Schaumburg-Lippe.1
