    Obituary
A resident at Fairfield Park, Wallaceburg, John Alfred “Jack” Stevens, formerly of Chatham passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday April 15th 2022 at the age of 86.

Born October 11th, 1935, he was the son of the late Alfred and Annie Stevens. Esteemed husband of 63 years to Dona (nee LaBrash). Loving father of Michael Stevens and his wife Sue Ann of Chatham, Susan Harden and her husband John of Dresden and Jeffrey Stevens of Sarnia. Cool Grandpa of Josh, Nicole, Cameron, Ryen, Natalie and Katrina and a very proud Great Grandpa to Scotlyn. Brother of Betty Leach (Clayton) and Mary Jane Hunter (Ron). Predeceased by his sister, Joyce Cumming (late Bill) and infant brother, William Thomas Stevens.

Jack worked for over 30 years at Seimens with great friends like Wayne Ramboer, “Pete” Wright, “Fuzzy”, Guy Graham and many others. He was a longstanding member at The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 642 where he liked to play shuffleboard with his friends. Dad enjoyed being around people and always had a joke or a witty comment for anyone close by. He loved every one of the staff at Fairfield Park. They all treated him like a king. Their caring, kind, compassionate personalities were greatly appreciated. Jack will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, friends and all that got to know him.

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people that treat you right. Forget about the ones that don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.”

Cremation has transpired and a funeral service for Jack will take place at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider Branch 642 Royal Canadian Legion. On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderandfuneralhome.ca
