 Benigna Prinzessin Biron von Curland is the daughter of Karl Peter Franz Andreas Alexander Biron von Curland, Prince Biron von Curland and Herzeleide-Ina-Marie Sophie Charlotte Else Prinzessin von Preußen.1 She was born on 2 July 1939 at Schloss Wartenberg, Gross Wartenberg, Silesia.1 She married Johannes Christoph Robert Baron von Twickel, son of Ludwig Baron von Twickel and Ann Barbara Throckmorton, on 3 May 1968 at Bayern, Germany, in a civil marriage.1 Benigna and Johannes Christoph Robert were remarried in a religious ceremony on 6 May 1968 at München, Bayern.
     She gained the title of Prinzessin Biron von Curland. She was baptised with the name of Viktoria-Benigna Ina-Marie Cecilie Friederike-Luise Helene Biron von Curland.1 Her married name was von Twickel.
