    Louise Victoria Alexandra Dagmar Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom was the daughter of Edward VII Albert Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, King of the United Kingdom and Alexandra Caroline Marie Charlotte Louise Julia von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark. She was born on 20 February 1867 at Marlborough House, London, England.1 She was baptised on 10 May 1867. She married Alexander William George Duff, 1st Duke of Fife, son of James Duff, 5th Earl of Fife and Lady Agnes Georgiana Elizabeth Hay, on 27 July 1889 at Buckingham Palace, St. James's, London, England.1 She died on 4 January 1931 at age 63 at Portman Square, Marylebone, London, England.2,1 She was buried at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 She was buried at Chapel, Mar Lodge, Braemar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3

    Through her marriage, Louise Victoria Alexandra Dagmar Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom gained the title of Duchess of Fife on 27 July 1889. She gained the title of HRH Princess Royal Louise of the United Kingdom on 9 November 1905.3 Louise Victoria Alexandra Dagmar Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom also went by the nick-name of Lulu.

She was born on 17 May 1891 at East Sheen Lodge, Richmond Park, Richmond, London, England.1 She married Major-General Arthur Frederick Patrick Albert Windsor, Prince of Connaught, son of Arthur William Patrick Albert Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn and Luise Margarete Alexandra Viktoria Agnes Prinzessin von Preußen, on 15 October 1913 at St. James's Palace, Chapel Royal, St. James's, London, England.1 She died on 26 February 1959 at age 67 at Avenue Road, London, England.1,2 She was buried at Mar Lodge, Braemar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

    She was created Princess Alexandra of Great Britain and Ireland on 9 November 1905.1 She succeeded to the title of 2nd Duchess of Fife on 29 January 1912.1 She succeeded to the title of Countess of Macduff on 29 January 1912.1 She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

He was born on 9 August 1914 at Mount Street, London, England.1 He died on 26 April 1943 at age 28 at Government House, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.1 He was buried at Chapel, Mar Lodge, Braemar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1

    He was styled as Earl of MacDuff on 9 August 1914.1 He was baptised with the name of Alistair Arthur Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. On 1917 his name was legally changed to Windsor. He succeeded to the title of Earl of Sussex on 16 January 1942.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Duke of Connaught on 16 January 1942.1 He succeeded to the title of Duke of Strathearn on 16 January 1942.1
