  Great grandmother of Richard Lee Duesterhaus For many years, family legend showed her maiden name as 'Hollander'. Genealogical research found the name to have been Reskenpleck and she was born in Holland. (Thus, making her different from all those Germans---She was "a Hollander") Since she married in a day and age in which the man, alone, applied for the marriage licence---Henrick either forgot, or couldn't spell, her name. The license actually shows her name as Elizabeth Hollander.---She and her mother came to America and Quincy, Illinois when Elizabeth was 10 yrs old.
