  David Nightingale Hicks was the son of Herbert Hicks and Iris Elsie Platten.2 He was born on 25 March 1929 at Little Coggeshall, Essex, England.2 He married Lady Pamela Carmen Louise Mountbatten, daughter of Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma and Hon. Edwina Cynthia Annette Ashley, on 13 January 1960 at Romsey Abbey, Romsey, Hampshire, England.2 He died circa March 1998. He was buried on 4 April 1998.
