Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Windsor, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom was the daughter of George V Frederick Ernest Albert Windsor, King of the United Kingdom and Mary Prinzessin von Teck.2 She was born on 25 April 1897 at York Cottage, Sandringham, Norfolk, England.1 She married Henry George Charles Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood, son of Henry Ulrick Lascelles, 5th Earl of Harewood and Lady Florence Katharine Bridgeman, on 28 February 1922 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.1 She died on 28 March 1965 at age 67 at Harewood House, Leeds, North Yorkshire, England.1 She was buried at Harewood House, Leeds, North Yorkshire.3
Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Windsor, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom usually went by her middle name of Mary.2 She was baptised with the name of Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. On 1917 her name was legally changed to Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Windsor.1 Through her marriage, Victoria Alexandra Alice Mary Windsor, Princess Royal of the United Kingdom gained the title of Countess of Harewood on 28 February 1922. She gained the title of HRH Princess Royal Mary of the United Kingdom on 1 January 1932.4 She was invested as a Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.).5
