Janet Frances (nee Wightman) DeLoof, 81, of Kenosha and formerly of Waukegan passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Kenosha, WI. She was born June 11, 1933 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong area resident. Janet was a member of St. Anastasia Parish in Waukegan, Daughters of the American Revolution, St. Anastasia Women's Club and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at Lake Forest College. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Janet is survived by her children, Jeffrey Alan (Cyndi) DeLoof of Philadelphia, James Maurice (Marsha) DeLoof of Grayslake, Amy Marie (Todd) Doyle of Gurnee; grandchildren, Jennifer DeLoof, Jamie (Steve) Fritz, Lindsey DeLoof, Riley Doyle, Brayden Doyle; great grandchildren, Gabriella Ortiz, Bryli DeLoof, Everet Fritz and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Maurice "Morrie" DeLoof, Jr.; parents, Elwyn and Nelle Wightman; sister, Nancy Pease; brother, James Wightman; father and mother-in-law, Maurice and Grace DeLoof, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Norman DeLoof, Theodore Cletcher and Honorable George Pease. Our family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Nursing Home for their superior care and kindness. Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's Nursing Home, 9244 29th St., Kenosha, Wisconsin 53143.
